Re: How does colostrum benefit for baby?

If a mother cannot successfully continue breastfeeding, as some cannot for various reasons, providing the baby the colostrum from the first few days of breastfeeding is one of the greatest things for the baby. I suggest always breastfeeding for these first critical days, no matter if you continue or not. Colostrum provides the most important beginning stages for the baby's immunity.

Colostrum or first milk also known as beestings or immune milk is produced in your breasts towards the later stages of pregnancy, usually around six to seven months. The length of time before lactation depends on how strong your baby's sucking is. And also how often you are nursing. Colostrum provides numerous antibodies to the baby through its powerful white blood cells.
