A little exercise is much greater than no Exercise at All

Men are busier than ever today. Our society has created a non-stop culture that often leaves little time for exercise. Thankfully, Charles Atlas shared a simple 10 minute exercise routine in a 1936 Physical Culture Magazine. While 10 minutes is not enough to give to your health, it’s better than nothing and can help keep you from getting soft. What’s great about this exercise routine at home is it doesn’t require any weights. Ready to get started? Let’s get ripped!

Spine stretching.
This exercise helps maintain flexibility in your back. Stand up straight and clasp your hands behind your head. Bend down quickly and touch your elbows to

your knees. Rise, repeat 12 times.

Deep knee bends.
Deep knee bends are great for working your quads, butt, and hip flexors. Stand shoulder width apart hands on waist. Squat all the way down. Rise, repeat until

failure.

Calf raises.
This exercise works your calves. Stand with feet a little less than shoulder width apart. Rise up on your toes and lower yourself down. Repeat until failure.

To add a challenge, perform the exercise with your toes on a phone book.

Push-ups.
Place your hands on the ground about shoulder width apart. Lower yourself to the ground and rise. Repeat until failure. Mix up the muscles you work by

widening and narrowing your hand position.

Dips.
Sit on the ground. Elevate your feet by placing them on a chair or bed. Lift and lower yourself with your arms until failure.

Leg raises.
This exercise works your abs. Sit on the floor with your hands behind you, propping you up and your legs straight out and close together. Quickly lift your

legs up until your body forms a “v” shape. Lower, repeat until failure.

Bicycle crunch. This is a great ab exercise that hits all the muscles in your stomach. Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the ground. Put

your hands beside your head. Bring knees up to about a 45-degree angle and slowly go through a bicycle pedal motion. Touch your left elbow to your right knee,

then your right elbow to your left knee.

Considering this procedure we can maintain our healthy lifestyle without ruining our time for work and other things we want to do.

Re: A little exercise is much greater than no Exercise at All

For me its all about getting into a routine. Going to the gym for me (or exercise in general) is a form of stress relief. And the busier I am in the work world and my personal life, the more I am in NEED of relieving stress and having a mentally and emotionally balanced day. Thus, I try to exercise the busier I get, which is hard for a lot of people. But, I think if you can create good habits, have integrity about your health and know when you are in need of a mental break and stress reliever, then you CAN somehow find time in the day/week to exercise.

Best,

- Andy

And a key to exercising your body, is consistency. The body likes routine, and when your body is in a good daily "pattern", including moving the body through exercise, it offers long term results. A physically active day results in more energy, and deeper sleep, too.

Hello
Yes in this fast world all are having busy schedules but its very important for everybody to be healthy so to work well and efficiently. So exercise is a must to be done its not necessary to go to the gym you can do just some simple exercises of yoga's like breathing practice is very easy and only 10 to 15 minutes is enough in early morning it makes our mind fresh, relaxed and full day becomes energetic. If you mentally and physically healthy your work will automatically fine.

I agree. Consistency is important, too. The body like routine, and it likes to move around. Make a schedule of doing something active and stick to it. Your body will respond positively to that.

Exercise to me is the best form to relieve the stress. I do exercise regularly and practice yoga thrice a week. I so agree that even a simple exercise is better than no exercise at all. It is like the saying goes "Something is better than nothing." Just the stretching exercise would be great boon to the body than having no exercise at all. It also helps the proper circulation of the blood, thus has a good effect by spending a little time.
