Re: Q & A with Dr. Hull - August 2009

I just read http://www.splendaexposed.com/articles/ … _with.html

This just confirms what I have suspected since Splenda was first available at Wal-Mart in 2002 0r 2003; type 1 diabetics do not metabolize sucralose in  he same way as type 2  diabetics, which were probably the majority,  or all, of the test subjects, prior to Splenda to being marketed and released.  Sucralose raises blood sugar levels.  The claims made that it would pass through your body  without affecting your blood sugar levels were fraudulent. Get this: I was diagnosed as a diabetic on May, 5, 1955, when I was 26 months and 2 days old. All my pediatrician did was confirm my mother's  diagnosis, made on the basis of only THREE semesters of medical school in the early 1940's. 54 years , 3 months, and 5 days later I'm alive, kicking,  and mentally active and enjoying life and being middle aged and self confident, finally. Yes, you are right. I AM PROUD that I am type 1 diabetic ant that I have NO desire for a cure. Being a type 1 diabetic for so long makes me unique, and has been a part of my identity,  because I don't have any memories of when I was NOT diabetic. What I have just read has fully confirmed something I've suspected and known for more than 5 years: sucralose raises blood sugar levels. aspartame does not. Some people have problems with aspartame; I don't. Enough said .

Are there any law-suits filed or being planned for fraudulent and misleading claims in advertising in progress? This is not the first time I have posted online about the  dangers of possible increases of blood sugar levels in diabetics who cannot metabolize sucralose like non-diabetics do.
:rolleyes big_smile

Re: Q & A with Dr. Hull - August 2009

I assume that from 1955 until 1981, you used saccharin as opposed to aspartame? There is nothing wrong with saccharin compared to the other chemical sweeteners - saccharin used to be pure like stevia, but it is now all manufactured, which is its only downfall.

I will never believe aspartame has NO effects on health - no one is immune to the toxins aspartame breaks down into. If you return to saccharin and try stevia, you may discover that you feel even better. My diabetic sister only used saccharin before stevia came out, but she has discovered this stevia product (nustevia by nunaturals) and really likes it.

Yes, sucralose in Splenda will exacerbate kidney issues because of the chlorine in Splenda that sits in the kidney waiting to be excreted.

Re: Q & A with Dr. Hull - August 2009

fatehsingh - thank you for your comments. We hope to offer a place for people to, not only find out the TRUTH about the dangers of diet sweeteers, but to offer a forum space for people to interact with one another and share their personal experiences with aspartame and, well, anything else adversely affecting their health.

People RULE - WE are the ones having the adverse affects from dangerous food chemicals. The corps and those who support the politics of greed will try to keep this type of interaction QUIET. They'll just put more advertisements on the major networks trying to convince them that they know best - as they go laughing to the bank.
